Coaches code of conduct
Rossville Baseball and Softball Summer Recreational League
PURPOSE:
Rossville
Summer Baseball/Softball League is dedicated to the principal of
providing the opportunity for all children in the Rossville area to play
baseball/softball in a competitive, fair and safe atmosphere.
Coaches
Code of Conduct:
Coaches are role models and leaders for their teams. Your actions and
conduct have a major impact on how your players behave.
All Coaches are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Coaches are expected to control their players and fans and work with the umpires to defuse potential disagreements.
Coaches are not to engage in heated arguments with umpires, other coaches, players or parents. This type of behavior will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action.
Coaches
and Assistant Coaches:
The use of tobacco products is not permitted on or near the field. This
includes during practices as well as games. You are setting an example
for the players. Abuse of this rule will result in disciplinary action
from the RBSSRL Board.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly forbidden at all team functions, including practices, games, etc. Violations of this policy will result in actions taken by the RBSSRL Board.
The League
will suspend any Coach ejected from a game for an additional game.
Before the Coach can return to his team, he must appear before the
RBSSRL
Board to
determine if any additional actions are required. Infractions of the
rules may result in dismissal as a Coach.
